Many westerners first contact with Buddhist philosophy came through the works of poets and writers like Allan Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Gary Snyder. Join us  for an evening celebration of the literature that introduced many of us to eastern philosophy and a deeper way of looking at and living in the world. The evening will include a variety of selected readings by members of the outreach committee and those given by the audience. Please bring your favorite readings to share and be prepared for the transforming power of this genre of American poetry and prose.
